Following the initial idea for this cinematic, I still followed the inspiration of the fantasy aspects of Howl's Moving Castle, Legend of Zelda, Coraline and Harry potter. I included fantasy creatures, effects around the forest, time passing. Initially, I wanted to move the camera around, but I believe the still camera, watching the adventurer rest in front of the fire created a sense of peacefulness, whilst the music plays in their head and only pays attention to the fire. The environment to them seems to be like an everyday thing, and the adventurer is unaffected by the wonderous forest they are in.
I wanted to create a cell shading effect in unity, however, that proved to be difficult to make with assets. I did not get the chance to create anything in a blender, but I did find assets that I could alter to get the effects I wanted. I did not have enough time to create an audiovisual cinematic, but it is something that still interests me, perhaps with a different project in mind. The music I did end up using was from Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, main opening. The music suited the atmosphere I was going for, and it was something I usually listened to while creating this cinematic. Creating glowing creatures was fun, and the lighting reflecting off of different objects was interesting to learn.
In the process of the project, I did use my storyboard for ideas, however, I did not make any of the assets, and instead found objects, and I did not use any water or clouds like intended. I did use code to create the feel of time passing, by using the effects of lightning. I created the cinematic in Unity but used Steam Labs OBS to record the unity cinematic. I then added sound edited it in premiere pro, and exported it in Media Encore.
